Windows Server 2008 End of Support: What you need to know

Are you prepared for Windows Server 2008 end of support? Extended support for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 ends January 14, 2020. Microsoft will no longer release security updates, which may expose you to security attacks or make you out of compliance with industry regulations such as GDPR. They will also no longer offer free support options or online technical content updates. Avoid business disruptions and use this as an opportunity to modernize your application stack. FlexManage is here to help you migrate to current versions for greater security, performance and innovation.

What happens if I don’t migrate?

Microsoft Lifecycle Policy offers 10 years of support (5 years for Mainstream Support and 5 years for Extended Support) for Business and Developer products (such as SQL Server and Windows Server). As per the policy, after the end of the Extended Support period there will be no patches or security updates, which may cause security and compliance issues, and expose customers’ applications and business to serious security risks.

Three reasons to migrate your 2008 server applications to Azure now
